Helping Hurting People
WELCOME TO NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN COUNSELING!
Are you called to heal the brokenhearted, strengthen couples and families, and walk people through life’s challenges?
The Christian Counseling degree program is designed to prepare the student for the ministry of counseling to individuals, couples, families, and special focus groups within the context of the local church, para-church ministries, church-related agencies, and the market place. The program enables the student to employ integrative therapies: integrating proven, effective counseling methods, models, and modalities, with sound biblical and theological principles. The vision of the church is to be a healing community. Hope for hurting individuals and families is an essential element of the Christian message. The counseling program equips the student to help people realize personhood wholeness in every area of human life – spirit, mind, and body – and to facilitate marriage and family harmony and enrichment.

WELCOME TO NEW LIFE!
"The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying: 'Arise and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.' Then I went down to the potter's house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make."
Jeremiah 18: 2-4
A PREVIEW OF OUR CHRISTIAN COUNSELING COURSES

Crisis Counseling: A Christian Perspective
The world we live in because of the influence of sin is filled with problems. When crises happens, whether by "accident" or design, they cause severe disruptions to our lives. It is an inherent quality of ministry to be able to effectively minister to those in crises times.
Conquering Codependency: Restoring Your Self-Identity
Codependency has aptly been called the "common cold" of relationships. It is not only associated with all addictions and obsessive-compulsive disorders, but, is in many ways, an addiction disorder in its own right: an addiction to pathological relationships, acceptance and approval.

Counseling the Dysfunctional Family
This course deals with the subject of dysfunctional families, especially as related to the psychological and spiritual dynamics of generational patterns. Attention is given to the need for understanding the theological and psychological patterns of reconciliation and the importance of relationship between the Father image and its influence on generational patterns in the family.

Marriage and Family
Many couples go into marriage not realizing the sacredness and commitment they are entering into. It's a commitment that requires a lot of attention and sensitivity. We treat the most importance alliance in our lives as though it must maintain itself without our wholehearted effort.

Counseling and Family Violence
Counseling and Family Violence focuses on the etiology, context, methodology and effects of domestic violence within the family. It is important to understand the bio-psychosocial antecedents to family abuse and violence, understand the cycle of violence and the behavioral patterns associated with each phase of the cycle and to understand various forms of abuse that can escalate to violence.
Helping Hurting People
Many people in the body of Christ are struggling with some kind of hurt and pain from their past or present sorrows, such as substance abuse, domestic violence, sexual, emotional, verbal abuse, rejection, abandonment, neglect, father issues, etc.
Jesus came that we may have life and more abundantly. So why is it that we are not experiencing abundant life?
The church needs to be trained and equip to minister to the needs of its people. God gave us all the tools to minister to the body of Christ. New Life Christian Counseling is one such tool.
"THE THIEF COMES ONLY TO STEAL, KILL, AND DESTROY; I HAVE COME THAT THEY MAY HAVE LIFE AND HAVE IT TO THE FULL." -JOHN 10:10
